Description
Recipe: Chicken Biryani
Ingredients
- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons Azka Biryani Masala
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1/4 cup chopped mint
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 4 cups water
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with yogurt, Azka Biryani Masala, ginger paste, garlic paste, and salt for 1 hour.
- Soak rice for 30 minutes, then drain.
- Heat oil in a pot, fry onions until golden. Reserve half for garnish.
- Add marinated chicken and cook until half done.
- Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
- In a separate pot, boil 4 cups water. Add rice and cook until 70% done. Drain.
- Layer rice over chicken, sprinkle mint, cilantro, and fried onions.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes.
- Fluff rice and serve hot.
